Preparing the skin for winter!!
So before we know it, it will soon be winter :( boo. Its a tough time for our skin, with getting cold and flu, feeling down, getting caught outside in the wind rain and snow, even the stress of Christmas can all take its toll. Its the time of year to replenish your winter products and get your winter woollies out because its going to be a old one!!
Im going to share with you today a few products that will protect my skin from the weather to come, bearing in mind I have VERY dry skin so find it difficult to keep my skin feeling good so here you go.
So first things first, my hands get very effected by the weather as I am outside quite a lot, they become very dry and brittle. I have tried sooo many hand creams im still yet to find one that keeps my hands hydrated I find I have to re-apply quite often. On the left is Neutrogena Norwegian Formula this is a concentrated formula so a little goes a long way, I use this at nigh time, I don't find that is absorbs that quickly into the skin and im not 100% on what I think about it. Evan though you don't need as much I don't find it works on me if I don't use a lot, this is why I use it at night as i can apply more and it has al night to soak in.
To the right is NIVEA Soft Face, Body, Hands. This is the hand cream I find keeps my hands soft and hydrated for the longest, plus you can use it anywhere of the body. I have used this on my face too and it is really nice. There is a slight scent to it which im not normally keen on perfume in products however it does not irritate my skin and it does fade after time. Out of the two this is my favourite the overall feel and texture and the way my skin feels after I have applied it.
So next is lips, and I think most of you now have one of these amazing products, yes im talking about Maybelline Baby Lips I am so obsessed with lip balms I cant live without one, I purchased this about a month a go and LOVE it!! I wish maybe I had got a different colour as this is quite bright. I have never had a li balm as moisturising as this, as soon as I applied one coat my lips felt completely different. I really think this is the best product out right now and it will definitely one of my go to products this winter.
Now this is my one product I could never live without Oilatum bath formula i not only have dry skin but I suffer form eczema too, in the cold weather my skin does get worse and dry not only due to the weather but I think due to all the layers I wear. This formula is amazing and my skin is transformed when i use it. You only need a couple of caps added to your bath and bathe for 10 mins. You can use this if you shower to however I find it more effective in a bath. The good thing about this product is you can use this everyday if you like it will not harm your skin, the most I have used it is twice a day at the moment about 3 times a week. Even if you don't suffer with skin irritation this is a really nice way to hydrate your skin without sticky creams that can be really  un-comfy. Its an amazing products and brand and I swear by this!!
Next is eye creams, the skin around the eyes is very delicates especially when your face is getting battered by wind and rain you need to be protected. these are two products that I use and they are both inexpensive. The first is Boots cucumber eye gel. I like this as it absorbs straight into the skin and it cools the area and feels really nice. The second is Simple soothing eye balm I have very sensitive eyes so i have to be careful with products I am using, however this is really nice I apply this all around the eye area and it does not irritate at all. I don't have a favourite out of the two I find they both keep my skin hydrated and they also go on nice under makeup too.
Now on to the product I have spent a lot of time searching for is a good face cream! Again its from one of my favourite brand its Oilatum natural repair face cream. I tend to use this mostly if im not wearing any makeup and at night, this is because I find you have to wait longer for it to soak in before you put makeup over the top. This is one of my favourite face creams its amazing for dry skin and irritated skins and it really feels like a barrier against the outside world :)
Last but not least its a new product im finding to be really nice L'Oreal skin perfection, I've been wanting a new day cream as Ill soon be needing a lot of it :) I have been using this for about a month now and I really like it. First on all I love this the cream is pink! it goes on really nice under makeup and it keeps my skin hydrated all day. It does however have a scent to it however it does not irritate my skin and it does smell nice. There is a serum too which I wanted but was sold out so it must be good.
So there are some of my products that will get me through the winter which I am not looking forward to. Its a stressful time of year but make sure you spend some time and pamper yourself, feel free to share some or your must have products for winter below :) xxx

Having fun and experimenting!!
I believe the only way to get better and further your knowledge of makeup is to practice practice practice!! On my days off I love getting all my makeup out making a mess and just throwing it on and see what happens. The best thing about this is you can make a complete mess of it and there is always a face wipe right there to fix it. it doesn't matter if you look like an idiot as its only you, and how are you going to learn what colours and application methods suit you of you don't try them!
Halloween shouldn't be the only time we can be a bit outrageous! Where's the fun in that??
Yesterday I sat and wanted to practice getting my lines accurate and wanted to try different methods so with my Urban Decay Vice Palette, GOSH Eyeliner, and L'Oreal Gel Liner I dove straight in.

I had no plan at all how this was going to turn out and it may not be to everyone's taste but once I started it was impossible to stop. I started with the black eyeliner top and bottom and then just went for it!
Once the first eye was finished, I thought why not do the other eye too :)
Once I had figured out different ways of getting straight lines I tried to fit as many into this look, again its not to everyone's taste but that's the point for me. I had no idea how it would turn out I just loved experimenting.
So the main point of me writing my blog post today is to encourage you to be creative and try new things, so it doesn't matter if you end up looking like this:
I learned to perfect my lines, which colours I liked together and which ones id didn't, what brushes I preferred to get different textures and shapes etc....
Its just a bit of fun that helps you gain better skills, which you can transfer when you are creating more wearable looks, so don't be afraid to go a bit crazy and express yourself!! hope you enjoyed my post guys and, hope you give this a go!!!

A few random tips when applying your make-up.
Hi everyone, I haven't had as much time as id like to write my blog tonight so I thought I would share some tips on applying makeup. Everyone has their own routine on putting their make-up on so feel free to share some of yours too!
1. Natural light is the best lighting to apply makeup so do your makeup by a window where the light falls directly onto your face.
2. Using a lighter shade concealer for under the eyes is fine however when concealing blemishes try to match the shade to your foundation so you don't draw more attention to that area.
3. Always prepare the skin properly before applying your makeup. Cleansing, toning, and moisturising your skin with products suited to you will not only look after the skin but will give a better result in make-up.
4. Let your foundation soak into the skin and rest before applying setting powder, if foundation is too wet the powder can clump up.
5. When using false lashes, never apply straight away after putting on the glue, always let it set a little before applying them.
6. If you are using pigments or dark eye shadows that risk fallout, start with the eyes first then do the base as it is easier to clean up.
7. Leave doing make-up until last if you are using hair straighteners or curling wands you don't the heat to ruin what you have just applied.
8. Set all the products out that you will be using so they are easy to reach and you don't miss anything out.
So that's all for today guys, hopefully this has helped and I'll be back soon :) xx

Playing with the Vice palette!
Hi everyone today I thought id share with you a few different looks I created with the Urban Decay Vice palette, I no a 2nd Vice palette has come out and I cant wait to try it out but the one I have used is the first one. I love the selection of colours the amount of looks you can create is endless, so lets get started :)
For this look I used purples and light pinks, I think you could wear it for day or night. First I primed the eye with Urban Decay Primer Potion, I then highlighted the brow with Anonymous.  I highlighted the inner corner with a mix of Freebird and Provocateur. Next I used Rapture all over the lid. Finally the last colour I used is Vice in the crease and blended it out so there is no harsh lines, I also used this to line the under eye. Any liner and mascara will finish this look, I used Bobbi Brown Gel Liner and Maybelline Colossal mascara.
Using the exact eye from the top I turned it into a more night time look just by adding Black Market. I used it in the crease and created a slight cat eye by not blending it out that much and lining the under eye meeting top and bottom in the outer corner.

For this look I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion all over the lid and started with the gold shade Buzz. I used this in the inner corner and brought it slightly down and under the inner eye, I also used it halfway onto the eyelid. For the outer half of the lid I used Unhinged. I finished the look with Junkie in the crease and crease and blended round to line under the eye meeting with the gold at the inner corner. Again any liner or mascara will complete this I used Bobbi Brown Gel Liner and Maybelline Colossal Mascara.
To do these looks I used Sigma brushes, but I will do a full post on all my brushes another time :) hope this gives you some ideas, thanks for reading and ill be back soon :) xx

Tinkerbell tutorial! To early for Halloween?
Hi everyone! so for part of my course work this week my beautiful friend Hanna let be borrow her face to and turn her into tinkerbell :) It was a bit of fun and I think it turned out great so I thought Id let you know what I use to create it !!
I really enjoyed playing around with the colours and glitter, because everyone loves glitter :) ill start with the main part of this makeup:
Urban Decay primer potion
Urban Decay Vice Palette Junkie
2true eyes shadow duo in green
BarryM Dazzle dust 27
BarryM Glitterdust 10
GOSH Eyeliner in Alligator 007
Maybelline Scandeleyes Mascara
First I primed all of the eyelid up to the brow and under the eye too, I then sprayed my brush with MAC fix+ and applied the iridescent dazzle dust to the inner corner of the eye. I then applied the lightest green colour out if the duo all over the lid, followed by the darker colour in the crease, outer corner and under eye, then with a fluffy brush I blended it out as far as it would go. I applied junkie into the crease and under the eye and blended this out to the hairline and down to the top of the cheekbones. I then lined the eye with the green eyeliner with the green eyeliner and added mascara. I finished the eyes by blending the gold glitter over the top of the cheekbones and blended up into to shadow.

Illamasqua skin base foundation
Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink
L'Oreal dream touch concealer
The brightest pink I had it didn't have a name on it ive had it for ages
L'Oreal glam shine gloss 800
The best thing about this makeup was I had fun doing it and thanks to Hanna for letting me do this to her haha thanks for having a look guys and ill be back soon with more :) xx

Tint your eyelashes at home!!
Hi everyone and welcome back :) I wanted to share with you today something I really like and have been using for a while. Its the eyelure dylash 45 day mascara (£7.14) I have pretty fair lashes and I really like this product because it actually works and its so easy to do. I cant compare this product to having your eyelashes professionally tinted in a salon as I've never had it done.
First I apologise for the packaging, I am due to get a new one soon. This is the packaging and it does come in blue/black and brown, you can also use this on the brows too!!
This it what you get inside... you do get a little white stirrer and some eye shields, but I must have lost them. you get up to 12 applications here and I think for the price is amazing. All you need is here for you the only extra thing you need is eye makeup remover, Vaseline and cotton pads soaked in water.
*It does recommend you do a skin test 24 hours before you use it which I DID as I am so sensitive!
Here are simple instructions on how I personally use this kit:
1. Cleanse the eye with makeup remover to make sure all makeup and dirt is removed leaving the eye are clean.
2. Apply a generous amount of Vaseline around the eye area NOT touching the lashes but as close to as you can. (The kit does come with eye shield you can apply now but I have never used them
3. Squeeze approx. 2cm of the eyelash dye into the little mixing dish (which is part of the packaging)
4. Add 5 drops of the activating solution and mix well until the solution does not drip
5. Doing one eye at a time apply the mixture with the mascara wand to the lashes getting as close to the base of the lashes as you can and keep you eye closed.
6. Leave on for 5-10 minutes the using a damp cotton pad gently wipe off any excess, then you are ready for the other eye.
I usually do this twice on each eye and its lasts for around 6 weeks.
So! this is how I tint my eyelashes, I really love a product that actually works so ill be sticking with this for a long time, and with only 6 simple steps you cant go wrong! hope you like this post and thank you for reading :) xxx

Ten random tips and tricks.
Hi everyone!! been really busy the past couple of days so haven't been able to come talk to you! I thought I would give you a few tips and tricks that I have learnt along my journeys so far so I hope you find them useful :)
1. When you buy face wipes keep them upside down so the top ones don't dry out and the moisture doesn't settle at the bottom.
2. After you have worn fake lashes clean them with eye makeup remover to remover glue and mascara so you can wear them gain.
3. Spray MAC Fix+ directly onto pigments or glitter and mix to make eyeliner.
4. Blot your lipstick before adding the final coat so the colour stays on for longer.
5. stop you get liner from drying out by removing a small amount to the back of your hand with a cotton but then put the lid straight back on
6. Even if you are only using you brushes and makeup sponges on yourself you need to wash them regularly.
7. Always exfoliate before you apply fake tan so you don't streak.
8. Always wear a good factor sun cream for you, you will still get a tan with higher factors but looking after your skin should come first.
9. After you have washed your brushes make sure you mould them back into shape with your fingers then let them dry naturally.
10. Practice and have fun, you will soon find what suits you so don't be afraid to try different colours and looks.
I hope you find some of these helpful, I am learning everyday so share your tips and tricks below :) ill be back with more tomorrow, Bye Guys :) xxx

Treated myself again!
Hey everyone, I have been shopping AGAIN so thought id share the few product I brought, didn't buy too much this time for once but it was hard not to! ha :)
I went to Superdrug and Boots to purchase these and they were not very expensive either, so lets start :)

I went to Boots and got these lip balm stains, they are the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable (£7.99)
I got the shades Crush and Rendezvous.
I have been looking for a coral colour for a while now and I chose Rendezvous because its not to full coverage its quite sheer unless you apply over a lip liner and it has a slight glossy finish. Its really nice for day time to add colour without going too bold.
I have also been on the hunt for a deep purple/plum colour so I chose Crush. I only really ever wear nude colours so I was not as confident trying this colour out as I was worried it wouldn't suit me, again I chose it because its more sheer than a lipstick so I though it was a good starting point for me.
Here is me wearing it too :) I was really happy with these, I will definitely try other shades of these too, the only downside I found to these is I wasn't to fond of the smell but once you have applied it fades away. they are long lasting and feel nice on the lips too.
Next I went to Superdrug I wanted bold eyeliners and thought I would try this brand as ive heard a lot about it but never tried it so I went for these GOSH Velvet Touch Eyeliner (£4.99)
I was really happy with the price of all the products and the quality of these eyeliners is really good.
The green colour is 007 Alligator and the gold is 021 renaissance gold. The texture is very creamy and they just glide on, they are also very pigmented! These eyeliner are advertised as waterproof, I found they do have long lasting power however I did have to re-apply the gold when I tried it out.
Here is how I wore the gold :) overall I will try the different shades of these you can use them in all different ways, to create different eyeliner looks or even all over the lid would look really nice. they are very metallic and pigmented for the price I was very happy with these.
So last but not least I added some more Barry M Dazzle Bust (£4.59) to my collection. I chose these colours as I am doing a look on my friend for one of my exams that needs to be really bold, so I will post that soon.

The first gold colour is number 10, it says this is not for around the eyes I this this is because this is fine glitter dust so the pieces are a bit bigger and powdery however when I will spray MAC Fix+ on my brush so its not powdery and no fallout will get into the eye.
The middle colour is number 27, this is a really nice iridescent shimmer with a gold undertone, I cant wait to use this you can use this a s a more dramatic highlight in the inner corner or under the brow or anywhere you like.
the final colour is number 44, this is a gorgeous copper shade, this will look nice in a Smokey eye or placed in certain areas to catch the light. 7
I have always been a big fan of dazzle dust as its not expensive they colour range is massive and the are endless ways you can use them.
That's all for today guys ill look forward to showing you the looks ive created with these soon. have a good day :)

A few faves!!
Hi everyone today im going to show you a few of my favourite products that I really like at the minute and also ones that I have been using for ages and go back to again and again :)
So lets get started
Illamasqua Skin Base foundation (£27.00) is my favourite foundation in the world I even use this as my main foundations in my freelance kit!! its really worth money you get 30ml which is usual but it lasts for sooo long. the colour range is amazing and you can easily mix them to create different shades. I love to contour and highlight using these because they blend so easily! I have very sensitive skin so my face gets really irritated having makeup on all day BUT with this foundation it doesn't, it feels like a seconded skin you really don't feel like you have any on. I think this foundation is medium coverage but very buildable to full and you can sheer it out too. I have used this on all skin types and had no complaints so I think this is definitely worth trying!!
Real Techniques Blush Brush (£9.99) I am so in love with these brushes at the minute, I cant believe the value for money, I have a few different ones but this is the one I keep on me at al times!! first off I really like how the brush is more dense at the bottom and lighter at the tips this is good for when you are applying blush or bronzer as it gently buffs the colour in, you don't just end up with a big blob of colour on you face which is NOT attractive :p. The seconded thing I love is the shape, the tip is pointier at the end meaning you can be really precise with it, I contour with it, apply blush and use it to powder all over the face. Its just a really good multi task brush to carry in your makeup bag, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these brushes they are AMAZING!!
Mary-Lou Manizer The Balm (£15.00) this is my favourite highlighter at the minute it suits any skin tone and really catches the light wherever you put it. I use to highlight the brow, cheekbones and cupids bow. Its a lovely colour and really blends in well, its not too yellow or glittery its a really neutral tone. I haven't found a highlighter that beats this yet so this is must have for me :)
Beauty Blender there is soo much hype about this product and you only have to try this once and you will fall in love with it! 99.9% of the time I use this to apply foundation and concealer I hate using anything else! its unlike any other sponge or applicator I have ever used and the finish it gives is flawless! EVERONE needs one of these!
Maybelline The Eraser Eye for sooo long now I have been on the hunt for a concealer that does not make my eyes stream and itch, covers my dark circles and does not sit in lines! this ticks every box and more for me, it feels really kind and moisturising to the eyes I use it all the time and it does not irritate them. it really is lovely and I would definitely recommend this for someone who suffers with very sensitive eyes like me!
So there are a few of my faves I have a lot more I will post another time, these are all product I will carry on using for a long time and I hope this has helped!
