Five Minute Face!

Hey everyone, today im going to share with you my makeup routine when im just chilling at home or just nipping out to the shops, or visiting friends and family. I don't like to wear loads of makeup and sometimes I cant really be bothered to rummage through all my makeup. I think this makeup would be great for school too or if you are new to makeup, as it creates glowing skin without looking cakey. I have done a similar post on doing your makeup when you are in rush which you can read here .

1. After prepping the face I use Revlon PhotoReady foundation all over the face. I love this foundation for day time as it has a spf 20 and it contains small reflective particles which catch the light and make your skin look healthy and glowing.

2. I use Maybelline The Eraser Eye concealer all around the eye. This is a really moisturising concealer and it covers dark circles really well.

3. I apply Soliel Tan De Chanel with a buffing brush around the areas of the face where the sun would normally hit. I like to use this cream bronzer as it looks really natural and ads warmth to the skin.

4. I use the Benefit Brow Zings To do my brows, I like how you can create a very natural looking brow with this or build it up to create a more defined brow for the right occasion.

5. I apply the Revlon Highlighting palette (rose glow) to areas I want to catch the light so cheekbones, centre of the forehead, bridge of the nose, and I also apply a tiny amount to the apples of the cheeks. This gives you a lovely glow.

6. I finish with applying Maybelline Mega Plush mascara and Bourjois Effet 3D lip gloss in 51

So there is my five minute face, it concentrates more on healthy dewy skin which is perfect for day time. you could set this with a powder however as im dry I don't find I have to plus it looks more dewy if you don't. I hope you like it and ill be back tomorrow!

Mid Week Must Have!

Hi everyone, I no on my Friday post I was said on Saturday I wanted to do a makeup look for you however as I was nominated for the liebster award I spent most of the day doing that. So I will be doing it this weekend instead.

Catch up done its time for my must have for the week, today it is Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama eyeliner. I got this when I went shopping at Superdrug last week. And before I start I just want to have a little rant! Im finding it more and more often that people are ignoring the testers to products, and its not just the front product that's opened, its the seconded a third etc. I cant understand why anyone would do this but I think that the shops really need to keep an eye on this as the displays are looking really messy and they need to be kept tidy and  fully replenished! it puts me off buying products.

So that over... This is a gel liner which you can get in other shades and it also comes with a brush which I really like and mentioned in my last post. I have seen a lot of people talking about this and I don't no where I have been that I haven't tried this sooner. The texture of this is so silky smooth I love it and it glides on really nice, this would be a good product if you are new to gel liner as the texture makes it easy to get straight lines. This is also the blackest eyeliner I've ever used it really stands out and I like the finish of it when its dries. It has brilliant staying power although I have not used this a lot of times it has never budged, smudged or anything. With a lot of eyeliners with good staying power I always find it hard to cleanse off, however this comes with my cleanser so easy which means I don't have to scrub my eyes to get it off. Its a lovely product and I think I will be sticking to this one from now on, how cool is the little pot it comes in too!

My 5 favourite Brushes!

Hi everyone hope your having a good weekend. I did not do a post yesterday as I went out for the day shopping with my mum which was really nice. I could not decide on what to post today as I was going to share what I brought yesterday however I wanted to try them all out first before I told you about them. So then I was going to do a makeup look for you but as im going out tonight I didn't what to irritate my skin by doing my makeup twice so im planning on doing that tomorrow. So... as I have cleaned my brushes this morning I decided to show you 5 of my favourites.

I have a lot of brushes, but I do keep all my kit brushes separate from my personal ones. These brushes im showing you today are few of my personal ones which I love and use most days. From left to right...

I  brought this from boots and I use this everyday unless Im not wearing makeup. I love how versatile this brush is, it is tapered which means its cut into more of a point at the top. This makes it really easy to contour with. You also apply your blusher and any other powders you want to with this. I like that this brush is super soft and fine at the ends so it does not collect loads of product. It applies the products evenly and fine to the skin and you can build up to the depth of products you want. An all round brilliant brush and a must have for your make-up bag.

I also brought this from boots. This brush is perfect for applying any cream or liquid products. I mainly use this for my every day foundation, the brush is very dense and creates a flawless finish. You can create any base you like from sheer to a full coverage with this by applying a little more product and buffing it into the skin. I love the shape as you can get into all the areas of the face, I even blend my under eye concealer with this. Its great as well for cream contouring as it is small enough to get into the hollows of your cheeks and soft enough to really blend it out. You can also apply your cream blush and highlight with this too, again its such a versatile bush!

When it comes to eye shadow blending is key, an I find this to be great. Its super soft so it blends really quick and easy and it makes sure there are no harsh lines to you makeup look. Its a must have brush to your collection.

I use this brush most of the time when using eye shadows. Its great for applying powder and cream shadows, and as its quite dense its great for packing on colour. Due to the size it fits perfectly into the crease to create definition, and its also great for smudging out eyeliner top and bottom to create the perfect smoky eye! I use this sometimes to also apply my under eye concealer and to do any pinpoint concealing I need.

This brush actually comes with the eyeliner linked above and I absolutely love it. The shape of the brush allows you to create really straight lines and I find it very comfy to use as its quite short. I cant explain the shape but its unlike a usual very fine eyeliner brush, I actually find it a lot easier!! I have recently just brought the Maybelline Eye Studio liner and you get virtually the same brush in there too. I really like the eyeliner of both of these products so they are great if you a new to gel liner as you don't have to purchase a brush too.

So they are my 5 favourite brushes I use most days, hope you found this helpful and ill be back tomorrow.

Mid Week Must Have!

Hiya everyone its time for my mid week must have again! I might be going out this weekend and because its winter im more pale than ever, so I have been using this this week to get my skin ready for the weekend. I don't use self tanners very often as im naturally pretty fair skinned which I don't mind however if im going on a night out I like to have a bit of a glow.

So this week my must have is the Fake Bake Radiant Golden Glow self tanning lotion. I chose this brand as I no its popular and a few people I no have used various products from their range. I decided to go for this particular one as it is specifically for fair skin. (You don't have to be fair skinned to use this however if you are used to using tanners it wont be as dark but it will give you a golden glow). The smell is really nice and reminds me of holidays, and it also comes with a pair of gloves to apply it with. The lotion is just like a normal body lotion in a light brown colour and is just as easy to apply, it soaks in straight away so you are able to get dressed straight after and I have never had any streaking issues with it at all! For this time of year I really like the shade you get with this as it is not too dark, in the winter I would usually use a darker one. I apply this every night 4-7 days before I am going out as this is a gradual tanner you can build the colour up to what you want, which is great as you can chose what suits you best. I love the natural golden colour I get with this, as it is more sheer than normal self tanners its not too in your face and unnatural looking. Overall its one of the best self tanners I have used and I like that they have thought about a tanner for more fair skinned people like me :). It does not dry out my skin nor does it irritate it at all, it makes my skin look really healthy and it makes me feel more confident.

To get the best results I use the Fake Bake Body Polish to exfoliate before I apply the self tanner, this is the most important step when it comes to using any self tanners as it helps avoid streaking, (this also has the most amazing fruity smell too!) I then apply the Fake Bake Oil Free Moisturiser to tricky areas such as the ankles, knees and elbows to make sure the tanning lotion applies evenly and does not streak.

New MAC Eyeshadows!

Hey everyone, hope you have all had a great weekend, I haven't done that much really just bits and bobs. Im on a massive mission at the moment to organise my makeup storage and decorate my room, as im getting fed up of the mess ha, so I have been looking for ideas this weekend. If you have any recommendations on storage please share :) I could do with some help. So catch up over... if you follow me on my other accounts you will know I have recently completed my qualification in makeup artistry, and for a year I have been constantly building my kit! Although I have a few MAC products until now I have not owned any of their eye shadows. I no you will all be thinking what rock have I been living under?!?! I no I no, but I have numerous amounts of eye shadow palettes that I never really needed any more! The one thing I have found im lacking in was the amount of matte eye shadows, so I took this chance (and a voucher I had for Christmas) and went to MAC...

I know most of you will own these eye shadows or will own most other products from MAC however the reason I don't is that there is no store anywhere near me :(  Im not fully confident of buying online as you can not be fully sure on the shades of product and there is so much choice, therefore if I want to purchase anything it means a full day shopping in Manchester, (not really complaining). I purchased all of these from Selfridges in the Trafford Centre, the girl who helped me chose them was super nice and so helpful I was really happy with what we picked out!!

Top Row: Left-Right: Brule, Ricepaper, Wedge
Bottom Row: Left-Right: Rule, Folie, Carbon

I wanted to start off with 6 mostly matte shades as I could not afford to fill a whole palette, however I wanted enough to be able to do numerous looks with. With these I think you could create anything from a fresh nude barely there eye, to a very smokey one. The pigmentation is great and I love that MAC do the pan refills as you can make whatever palette you wish.

I also treated myself to the Palette to as its easy to carry around in my kit. However seeing all the empty sockets is making me want to buy more!! The main reason I wanted to share this with you is just to show you that you don't have to own all the eye shadows in the world in every shade to be able to create any look! Just having these 6 are so versatile and I have since created a different look every time I have used them. These are brilliant shades to start off your collection and ill keep you posted to which ones I add to mine.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines day everyone, hope you are all having a good day and are getting ready for the weekend :) I have been off and looking after my poorly puppy today so I am only just getting round to do my valentines post. I must admit I find the whole romantic meal thing a little cheesy so I do prefer to stay in on valentines day, which is why we are having a takeaway tonight instead. Writing this post is helping take my mind off how hungry I am right now, I don't want to eat anything and ruin tea later though :( Even though I am staying in I have still got into the spirit with these goodies which I am going to call my valentines favourites...

First off today im wearing a new t-shirt and socks I got from Matalan. The socks came in a pack of 5 with different patterns and I just thought they were really cute. I don't think you can have too many socks and I always get mine from here. I love the t-shirt too, not only because it suits todays theme, but because I love to wear just simple t-shits jeans and boots, you cant go wrong with that look!

Next I am wearing my favourite earrings, they are the Swarovski Angelic Earrings. I have lots of different pairs from when I used to work there, however I love these the most as they are so sparkly! and who doesn't feel a million dollars wearing Swarovski! They are a must for valentines.

To continue on with the sparkle I have used The Balm Mary Lou Manizer, This is my favourite highlighter and I always use it on special occasions to make my skin look glowing.

If your going on a date this valentines you wanna smell good, so here are my favourite fragrances. My favourite body spray of all time is by Hollister its so fruity and fresh and smells of watermelon. My favourite perfume is Chanel Chance its fresh and summery and lasts all day, I get so many complements wearing this and I love that is smells just the same when you first spray it in the morning to when you get in at night.

My valentines nail products are firstly by Asdas George. This is a manicure base coat and it a very sheer pale pink, I like this as it s girly and it makes my nails look really healthy with only a slight hint of colour. My seconded one is by BarryM this is a light pink glitter nail varnish, (Im not sure if they make this exact on any more) It looks great on top of plain colours and adds another bit of sparkle to your look, all their nail varnishes are great though.

Finally my favourite lip products. First is the Maybelline Baby Lips the best lip balm ever! Its super hydrating and I like that it is a little glossy too so you can wear this over a lipstick so add shine, or just on its own (it looks just as good). Last is my favourite lip gloss Bourjois Effet 3D lip gloss, I did a post on this not long ago so I wont go into a lot of detail, but I just think it goes with any makeup look, and is you don't want to look too made up on your date, this is just enough pop of colour.

So they are my valentines favourites, im wearing most of them today. I thought id finish off with  showing you my makeup today, its just super neutral as usual and I did something a little different with my hair too :) Have a lovely night whatever you are doing and ill be back soon.

Mid Week Must Have!

Hi everyone and welcome back to my Mid Week Must Have...

This week it is the Benefit Eye Bright pencil! This is a jumbo style eye pencil in a very pale pink shade to use in the water line and inner corner of the eye. Flesh coloured pencils are usually used in these areas to make the eyes appear bigger and brighter. I love  this pencil the most though because of the shade, I think its much more brightening than flesh toned ones. I have never come across a pencil in this shade before, the very pale pink makes the whites of the eyes look brighter and it helps to absorb dark shadows in the inner and outer corners of the eye which makes them appear bigger. It looks beautiful and it really works! An application of this is all you need to help hide all those late nights you have been having :) . I have been using this a lot the past few weeks as my skin is feeling a bit sluggish and my eyes are looking a bit dull, and even with just this pencil on it own will make my eyes pop out! You can wear this with any makeup look and the staying power is very good, I find I only have to top up once or twice through a full day if at all. For best results apply this as the last step to your makeup, you can also use this to highlight the brow bone too. If you have never tired this style pencil before, I no you will see a difference. I really like that Benefit have made a product specifically for this purpose, which is so useful, I have not come across a similar product by another brand. Overall its a great must have, and perfect for when you need a little wake me up.

Oh So Natural!

Hi everyone hope you have all had a great weekend! I do like to post as much as I can at the weekends however yesterday I had two makeup appointments so didn't have the time, luckily I got one up on Friday tho! I have had a relaxing day today, I have been on a nice walk with the dog, and im cooking a meal for everyone tonight :) but while im sitting by the nice coal fire I thought I would write up my post for today. I did another valentines look today because I think this will be the last one I will be able to do in time. My skin still hasn't fully cleared up from my last post so I decided to do something very minimal so not to irritate anything, but with some glittery pinks to suit the occasion. I think this is perfect for day time more than night so I have not used any eyelashes. Its just super pretty and natural.

Benefit Brow Zings
Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Strawberry Milk
Avon Black Khol Eyeliner
Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara
Benefit Eye Bright Pencil
Naked 1 Palette: Sin, Sidecar, Naked and Creep

I started with my eyebrows, using the brow zings and setting it with the brow gel. For the eyes I began with applying the jumbo pencil all over the eyelid, round and under the inner corner of the eye. I then applied Sin all over the top. Next I took Half Baked and with a fluffy brush blended it all around the edge and into the crease. I blended out this edge with Naked so there was no harsh lines. I then lined the top of the eye with a strong line with the black eye pencil. I took Creep on an angled brush and applied it over the liner pushing upwards to smudge it all out. With what was left on the brush I gently lined the outer part of the lower lash line to add definition. I lined the water line with the eye bright pencil. I finished with a coat of mascara and one final dab of Sin to the very centre of the eyelid.

Tip: Using a cream base for eye shadow ensures it stays for longer and helps you get the best pigment.

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Ben Nye Cameo Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Sleek Lace Blush Palette shade Chantilly
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

I started by applying Foundation all over the face, then concealing my under-eyes, bridge of the nose, chin and forehead. I set everything with the loose powder, then applied the bronzer to areas that would naturally catch the sun to warn the face. I finished with applying the blush to the cheekbones and highlighting the tops of then and under the brows.

NYX Pale Pink Lip Pencil
L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in Julianne's Nude

I Filled in all the lips with the pencil then applied the lipstick

Tip: by filling in the whole lip with the lip pencil helps the lipstick last longer.

So that's my latest Valentines look for you, I like this as it is really fresh faced but with a nice shimmer on the eyes so they pop a bit more. have a great start to the week everyone and I'll be back soon.

A Pop Of Pink!

Hi everyone and happy Friday :) I didn't know if I would have time tomorrow to do a post and I wanted to do as many valentines looks as I could so I have done one today instead for you! I am a little annoyed as I have used a new foundation which has broke me out so my skin isn't the best at the moment, so hopefully for my next one it will be better.

Because of this I decided to do a makeup look which takes less effort but still stands out and will look pretty for whatever you are doing on valentines day. For me this is the kind of makeup I normally go for, its super simple to do and stands out to!

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Ben Nye Cameo Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Sleek Lace Blush Palette Shade Chantilly
The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer

I started with the base this time. I firstly applied the foundation with my beauty blender, then concealed under the eyes, down the nose and centre of the forehead. I set all this with the loose powder. I then Buffed the bronzer over the cheekbones, around the forehead to give some warmth to the face. I finished with the blush blended over the cheekbones and highlighter on the top of the cheekbones, down the nose and cupids bow.

Tip: To get a sun kissed look and add warmth to your face instead of applying bronzer all over the face only apply it to the areas which the sun would naturally hit, this is more effective.

Benefit Brow Zings
Anastasia Tinted Brow Gel In Brunette
NYX Black Gel Liner
Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Mascara
Avon Black Khol Pencil
Benefit Bright Eyes
Any False Eyelashes

I Started with my eyebrows, using the Brow Zings and then setting it with the brow gel. For the eyes I started by lining the eyelid with the gel liner, then lined the water line with the bright eyes pencil. I lightly drew a few dots of kohl pencil to the lower lash line just to make the lashes look a little thicker. I buffed a small amount of the bronzer into the crease to add a little definition and added a few coats of mascara top and bottom. I finished with false lashes and also dapping a little highlighter to the inner corner.

Tip: Using a flesh coloured pencil in the waterline makes your eyes look brighter and bigger.

NYX Dollymix Lip Pencil
NYX Matte Lipstick in Shocking Pink

So That's my latest look for valentines, hopefully will get one or two more up in time. Let me know if you like these as I enjoy doing them for you! Have a great weekend.

Mid Week Must Have!

Hi everyone its another rainy day where I am so I thought I would write about my must have for this week!

This week its the Ben Nye Cameo Luxury Powder I purchased it for £7.50 from  Which is an amazing site to get all your professional makeup and tools from for your kit!

I have owned this powder for a while now however it has been in my professional kit, but I ran out of my usual one so I have been using this instead... and it AMAZING. You may be more familiar or have heard of the famous banana powder, (which I also have however it is too yellow for me so its in my kit) well this is just a different shade, and I think this is the perfect loose powder for paler skin tones like me. If you like a very matte and flawless finish to your make up which I do during the winter this is a great product, the powder is so fine and blends beautiful on the skin. I mainly use this to set my T-Zone and more importantly the under eye concealer or anywhere I have highlighted when highlighting and contouring. It does not settle in any lines, (which is a problem with many loose powders) and your makeup will stay all day! I find the best and most effective way to apply this is with my beauty blender, by applying in this way its sets everything without moving around any work you have just done. It is suitable for both dry and oily skin types, if you are oily you may use powder to set your makeup a lot and I find loose powder more effective than pan ones. I'm very dry and this looks and feels great you cant even tell you have it on.

It really does give the most flawless finish and if you like my last two posts on valentines makeup this is what I have been using. I think this is a great product with a good selection of shades and with the 1.5oz you get it will take you ages to use all this up! I am a big fan of this brand and I think this is one product everyone should have in their makeup bag :)

Soft And Sweet!

Hi everyone and welcome back! I am enjoying doing makeup for you so today im sharing with you another valentines makeup look, its more softer than my last look and its perfect for anyone.

I used more neutral colours which is more my thing and what I like is that you can wear this day or night.

Benefit BrowZings in Light
Anastasia Tinted Briw Gel in Brunette
Maybelline MegaPlush Mascara
L'Oreal Infaillible Eyeliner in Chocolate Addiction
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner in Black
BarryM Dazzle Dust 24
BarryM Dazzle Dust 27
Urban Decay Naked1 Palette, Half Baked, Buck, Darkhorse, and Naked

To start with I did my brows with the BrowWiz and set that with the brow gel. I then applied Half Baked all over the lid and into the inner corner. I then applied a small amount of Darkhorse into the outer corner crease area. With a big fluffy brush I applied Buck over the top and into the rest of the crease and blended out and up. I blended up towards the brow bone with Naked so there was no harsh lines. Next I lined the top lid with a small line of liquid liner. I wet a brush and applied the dazzle dust in 27 to the inner corner to highlight, then applied the dazzle dust in 24 in the centre of the lid. For the bottom of the eye i simply lined the eye and waterline with the brown pencil and smoked out with Buck. I finished the eyes with a few coats of mascara and false lashes.

Tip: When using loose pigments or glitter spray you brush with fix + and then apply to get the stronget pigment.

L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation
MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel
Ben Nye Cameo Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Nyx Peach Blush
The Balm Mary Lou Manizer

I first applied the foundation all over the face with my beauty blender. I then concealed the under eyes, bridge of the nose, chin and forehead to highlight. Next I contoured around the forhead and cheekbones with the chanel bronzer. I set all the oncealer with the loose powder and applied the hoola bronzer over the chanel bronzer and blended. I finished with applying blusher to the apples of the cheeks and highlighting under the brows, tops of cheekbones, cupids bow and down the nose.

Nyx Dolly Mix Lip Pencil
Bourjois Effet 3D Lipgloss 51

I coloured in the lips with the pencil and applied the gloss all over the top.

So thats it guys let me no if you like this sweet look, and enjoy the rest of the weekend :)
