Purple Smokey Eye!

Havnt done a makeup look for a while so as I have not had much to do this morning I did one. Smokey eyes are so popular especially for nights out so I decided to do one with a bit of a twist. I have used purples to create it rather than blacks or browns to show you can create a smokey eye with any shades. Hope you like...

Revlon Photo Ready Foundation
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Urban Decay Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Illamasqua Powder Blusher in Lover
GOSH Giant Sun Powder

I started with foundation fist then I actually did my eyes next. I concealed under the eyes after I had done them as its less messy and you can neaten up your lines too. I then set everything with the loose powder. I used the bronzer next not to contour but to warm it up a bit as im so pale right now, I used it on the cheekbones nose and forehead... anywhere which would naturally catch the sun. I added a tiny bit of blusher not much just a little on the apples of the cheeks and then highlighted the tops of the cheekbones with the GOSH powder.

Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate
MAC Eye shadow in - Beauty Marked, Sketch, Folie, Ricepaper and Coppering
Avon Black Kohl Eyeliner Pencil
Maybelline Gel Liner
ABH Brow Wiz Pencil
Benefit Gimme Brow
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

First I did my eyebrows the same as always starting off with the pencil and then setting with the gimme brow. Then I applied the cream colour tattoo just over the eyelid. This acts as a nice base for the eye shadow to go over. I then applied Beauty marked just over the top of the cream eye shadow. I used Sketch in the outer corner and into the crease and blended out. I used Folie to blend it out towards the brow, then highlighted the brow bone with Ricepaper. Using a big fluffy brush I made sure there were no harsh lines. This is just a quick break down of what I did you may find you have to really blend like crazy to get the effect and keep adding more product where you u need it as you go along.

I then lined the top lash line with a gel liner into a little flick at the end. For the under eye I lined the water line and lash line with the pencil. At the inner corner I highlighted it with Coppering eye shadow, I though this would look a bit different I blended it into the eyeliner too. I smudged out the eyeliner with sketch eye shadow to create a smokey effect. I finally applied a little more Beauty Marked to the lid and a few coats of mascara. Using False eyelashes would look great with this but I didn't have any at the time.

NYX Lip Pencil in Pale Pink
L'Oreal lip extraordinaire in Nude Ballet

I lined the whole lip with the lip pencil then applied the L'Oreal liquid lipstick all over. I wanted a nude lip to the eyes stood out and I chose this one as its a little glossy too.

So that is my purple smokey eye look I think its suitable for anyone and perfect for a night out. thanks for reading.
