My Chocolate Flapjack Cake!

I love baking, especially if it involves chocolate, the other day I baked flapjacks for the first time and they were so yummy! I have spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen today also so I thought I would share with you what I have made. This is my really easy chocolate flapjack cake recipe:

Ingredients:
115g Butter
45g Brown Sugar
2 Table Spoons of Golden Syrup
200g Porridge Oats
100g Chocolate (any that you like)
Round Cake Tin

1. Preheat the oven to 190oC.

2. Place the butter, sugar and golden syrup into a pan and melt on a low heat.

3. Once melted take off the heat and fold in the porridge oats.

4. Pour into your greased tin and flatten with the back of a spoon.

5. Bake in the oven for around 10 -15 minutes until golden brown.

6. Take out and cool for around 10 minutes.

7. melt the chocolate and poor over your cake.

8. leave to fully cool and set before cutting up.

It is so easy to make and its so tasty too, I like that it is a cake shape too its a little different than square ones. I hope you give it a try!
