Liz Earle Opening : First Look and My Experience!

Liz Earle

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of being invited to attend the opening of a brand new Liz Earle counter in Stoke-On-Trent. Being a beauty blogger I love sharing any beauty news with you and I was so exited and proud that I was able to get the first look into an exiting new venture in my local town.

The British Beauty Brand Liz Earle has opened a beautiful new counter in Boots in Hanley city centre which is fantastic adding to a wider range of products and choice of brands. As I walked through the door my eyes were drawn straight to the beautifully lit counter. Having worked on concessions in department stores myself I had been incredibly interested and involved in merchandising and I thought this set up was perfect. The whole counter had a fresh and uplifting feel, it flows nicely around so you can see all the products with ease. The warmly lit fixtures highlighted the products as if the sun was shining behind them, they looked bright and colourful and together with the pebble textured effects they gave a relaxing beachy feel.

From luxurious skincare, hair care and beautifully scented perfumes, the pink bottle No.20 being my absolute favourite, I was surprised to see such a wide range of makeup. With everything we could possibly need from foundation, blush, lip-gloss and nail polish not only are all the shades so versatile and wearable they also include the skincare benefits Liz Earle is known for. There is also a nice selection of great quality makeup tools to help you apply them.

I met up with the lovely Keshia who showed me around. We sat at the seating area which had an extremely comfortable spa like feel. I felt very relaxed almost like I was having a one to one treatment I did not feel like I was sat in the middle of a large store. I had to admit to Keshia that I had never tried Liz Earle products before, I had seen them numerous times in magazines and also on QVC however I had never seen the products in person to try. I wasn't aware until I was at the counter how large the product range actually was, therefore we decided to discuss the most popular and iconic products so I could share them with you. Keshias product knowledge was amazing, as we went through the different products she explained them all to me in great detail in a way which was so easy to understand, I really felt confident that I knew what I was using, why I was using it and how the different naturally active ingredients would benefit my skin.

One main piece of advice Liz Earle gives is that if we don't do anything else with our skin, we should cleanse, tone and moisturise twice daily. With this in mind we started off by discussing not only the fist step in our routine but also the most iconic Liz Earle beauty product, the Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser.  Being the most award winning cleanser in the UK this steps up to the mark being suitable for all ages and all skin types. Containing eucalyptus essential oil, rosemary and chamomile extracts along with cocoa butter, this rich cream removes makeup and daily grime with such ease. What I loved most of all is being able to physically remove all that dirt away with the pure muslin cloth which also acts as an exfoliant too, which was a real bonus for me with very dry skin exfoliating was now gentle and comfortable

The next step to our routine is toner using the Instant Boost Skin Tonic. I loved that the name is perfectly matched with the effect this gives to the skin. Being very gentle and alcohol free this contains aloe vera, calendula, vitamin E and rose-scented geranium. Using this after cleanser gives a refreshing feel to the skin, it really does feel like a boost leaving skin looking fresher and brighter.

The final step to our routine is to moisturise and Keshia recommended for me the Super Skin Moisturiser as I have very dry skin at the moment. With ingredients including collagen-boosting pomegranate, cranberry seed, borage and rosehip oils, this rich but lightweight cream soaks into the skin with such ease. In the past few days of applying Super Skin my skin feels soft and hydrated all day.

My first impressions of being introduced to the Liz Earle range were outstanding. I loved the thought that goes into every product, the naturally active ingredients gives the products a unique natural botanic scent which is so refreshing. I was amazed with the affordability of the products all being very reasonably priced. It was also Interesting to find out that all of these products are suitable for any age, which makes choosing the right products for our skin so simple. Of course I could not resist but come home with the main products I wanted to try and I have been really enjoying them. I will do a a full review once I have used them for a longer period of time however so far so good!

I had the best time visiting the Liz Earle counter and I would really recommend going in to see Keshia and the team to find out more about the best products to use on your skin. If you are unsure what you should be using for your skin type go in and try the products for yourself and gain helpful professional advice. I will definitely be a regular customer and look forward to re-visiting again soon!

Share your favourite Liz Earle products below and also let me know if you go and visit!
