Welcome back everyone, this weekend has been quite a busy one and I was not sure if I would have time to create a makeup look for you. To be honest I am having so much trouble with my skin the thought of putting makeup on my dried up weathered face right now makes me cringe a little. I could not let you down and not create a makeup look for you, therefore as Im feeling a little low and grungy what better look to do for you than a grungy smokey eye with a two toned twist!

Face:
Make Up Forever HD Foundation
Cover FX Custom Cover Drops
Urban Decay Naked Concealer
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour kit
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Rimmel Natural Bronzer
Illamasqua Blusher in Lover
Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in So Hollywood

I started in the usual way for the base by mixing the two foundations together before applying, I need a more of a full coverage at the moment with my skin playing up. I then concealed my under eyes with the Urban Decay concealer and set with only a small amount of the yellow powder from my contour kit as that area is quite dry at the moment. I used the middle shade from the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit to contour and blended this out as usual using Benefits Hoola bronzer. Our grungy eyes will be quite warm with golds and browns so I wanted to keep the same tones with the face products too so, to warm up the face today I used Rimmels Natural Bronzer in Sun Bronze which is very similar in shade to Give Me Sun by MAC. I finished the face by applying a little of the Illamasqua Lover blush to the cheeks and Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in So Hollywood for a nice golden glow.

Eyes:
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Auburn
Anastasia Beverly Hills Tinted Brow Gel in Brunette
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Creme Brûlée, Frappe, Cocoa Bear and Magic Act
Zoeve Coca Blend Palette Eyeshadow in Beans Are White
Illamasqua Ore Pigment
Maybelline Black Gel Eyeliner
Avon Black Eye Pencil
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara
Velour False Lashes in Winging

For brows I filled them in using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow wiz, today I made them more defined and then set them in place with the brow gel. A little tip for achieving a grungy eye look is to allow yourself to be a little more messy than if your were creating a normal smokey eye, blending doesn't have to be perfect here. I started by using Creme Brûlée and Frappe into the crease and used these as a transition shade. To create a two toned effect I then used Cocoa Bear deeper into the crease and also into the inner and outer corner of the eye only. I followed the same step again with Beans Are White from my Zoeva Palette and applied this in the same areas as Cocoa Bear. For the centre of the lid I applied Magic Act with my finger then used some glitter glue to apply Illamasqua Ore pigment which is a nice rustic gold over the top this made the centre of the lid pop more to emphasise our two toned effect.

For the under eye I simply used a mix of all eye shadows along the lower lash line keeping it darkest and most pigmented towards the outer area, this gave the look more of a messy grungy vibe. I finished the eyeshadow by applying a small amount of Magic Act along the inner part of the lash line for a pop of gold to blend with pigment used on the lid. To complete our eye look I simply lined the top lash line with the gel liner and tightened with the black eye pencil from Avon. To finished I applied lots of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara and Velour False Lashes in Winging.

Lips:
MAC Lip Pencil in Spice
Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity
Tanys Burr Lipgloss in Chocolate Fondue

I thought a deep glossy lip would pair nicely with our grungy makeup look as the warmer tones matched with the warm browns used in the eyes. I lined the lips first and filled them in with the Spice pencil from MAC then used the liquid lipstick over the top. To finish I applied lots of the Tanya Burr Lipgloss all over the top.

I hope you like todays gold grungy makeup look, let me know what think in the comments.
