Todays makeup look had to be a valentines look! When it comes to valentines day or even just your date night makeup there is nothing more suitable than a soft simple pretty eye look with a mix of purples and pinks. For my valentines day makeup I have chosen a subtle smokey eye using warm purples and winged out liner, for lips I chose a slightly ombre nude pink. I thought this makeup was perfect a date night and I have used shades which suit everybody, so let me know if you re-create it for your valentines.

NYX Blush in Peach

A glowing base is the perfect look for date night so I started by applying the liquid highlighter from Becca onto any areas I wanted to be more dewy therefore the tops of the cheek bones, above the brows, tip of the nose and cupids bow. For a flawless coverage I mixed the two foundations and applied this all over the face with my Beauty Blender. I concealed the under eyes with the Naked Concealer from Urban Decay then set this area and the T-zone only with the Laura Mercier loose powder. I used a cream contour first today by applying the Urban Decay concealer pencil to sculpt the cheek bones and forehead then blended this into the skin with a synthetic brush. I used Benefits Hoola bronzer to further blend the contour then used Give Me Sun! by MAC to add warmth to the face. I applied a small amount of NYX blush in Peach to the apples of the cheeks then to complete our flawless glowing look I used the Pressed Shmmering Skin Perfector from Becca in Champagne pop to the already highlighted areas.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

Starting with the brows I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz to fill them in, I also extended the ends a little too. To set them in place I then used the Brow Gel in Brunette. For our subtle smokey valentines eyes I started by using Benefits Hoola Bronzer into the crease with a fluffy brush to act as our transition shade. Onto the Kevyn Aucoin Eyeshadow Duo I used the deep purple all over the lid, I then took the highlight shade and applied this with a flat brush to the inner lid only to make the eyes pop. Both shades in this palette are shimmery which were perfect for this eye look. For our winged eyeliner I used the Dip Brow Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills in auburn for a softer effect to complement the pinks and purples in the eyeshadows. I then lined the lower water line with the MAC eye pencil in teddy. I didn't want the eye makeup over smokey so I only ran a small amount of the dark purple shade along the lower lash line. I finished our soft pretty eyes with Benefits Roller Lash Mascara and the Eylure Exaggerate Lashes in 143.

Nothing shouts valentines more than a pretty nude pink lip so I started by lining and filling in the lips with the Whirl lip pencil by MAC. I used the liquid lipstick in Serenity over the top and as this is matte I chose to use the Lip Laquer gloss only to the centre for a subtle ombre effect.

I hope you like my simple pretty Valentines makeup and I hope you have fun whatever you get up to this valentines.
