Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette Swatches and First Impressions

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette Swatches

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

I turned 25 last week and if there was one beauty product on my wish list this eyeshadow palette had to be IT. I have seen endless pictures and swatches of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette on Twitter and Instagram and I have been waiting for it to arrive in the UK. Luckily a few days before my birthday I had an email promoting the palette  of course it was fait! I brought this straight away from Cult Beauty and it arrived the next day, the perfect treat for myself turning a quarter century!

Price wise this did shock me a little, at £41.00 I thought it was a little steep seeing as the Self Made Palette was around £27.00, however the one point which drew me to this palette is that the shades are all so wearable. We all have our own "me" shades and every colour in this palette could not be more perfect "me" shades. I spent the money because I know I will use all 14 eyeshadows in this palette, every colour is so beautiful. Packaging is always something I look out for too, Modern Renaissance does not disappoint, the palette itself is a pretty mauve pink material which is so soft with white and rose gold writing. Although I love the soft material, it does pick up dirt quite quickly and is hard to clean so I will be keeping it in its box to keep it pretty for as long as possible. You also get a double ended Anastasia Beverly Hills Brush which I think is a great finishing touch, one end is perfect for packing on colour and the other is fluffy and soft for blending.

Each eyeshadow in the Modern Renaissance Palette is rich in colour, the amount of makeup looks you could create are endless and there is not one shade here which you could not pair with another. From warm to cool tones there is everything in this palette, I love the rich browns, to the vibrant pinks and brunt oranges. Usually in eyeshadow palettes there are always one or two shadows you know you will never touch, however there is not one shade in here which I would not wear. Anastasia Beverly Hills have put so much thought into creating this palette and it really does show, it is sturdy and great to travel with and you can create any makeup look using it too.

I have swatched each eyeshadow from the Modern Renaissance Palette in order from top to bottom. Each eyeshadow felt really creamy and I loved the pigment, if I had to choose the least pigmented I would say Love Letter. Vermeer and Primavera are the two main shimmery shades and glided on so creamy, I am also looking forward to using Realgar and Red Ocher as they are so rich and warm. Throughout the whole palette there is the perfect balance of matte, shimmer and satin finishes all beautiful in texture and pigmentation.

Overall my first impressions are great, I am really pleased with my palette, Anastasia Beverly Hills have put a lot of thought into putting this together, from creating everyday makeup, to smokey eyes, to pops of colour you can create so many makeup looks with this. I can not wait to get into more tutorials, I think the Modern Renaissance Palette will be all I use for my next few tutorials on my YouTube channel!
