Eyeshadow palettes are one my favourite makeup products, I love having a selection of shadows all in one place, one eyeshadow palette which I have owned for a while now is the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette. The Tartelette In Bloom Palette may not be on the top of your list of eyeshadow palettes to purchase as Tarte isn't so easy to buy in the UK, which is mainly why I have decided to write a review as I don't see many people using it. Of course Tarte is well hyped about on all the US beauty guru channels which made me really want to try something from Tarte. For my first and only purchase so far I chose the Tartelette In Bloom Palette, the more taupe and mauve shades really caught my eye, I don't own a palette similar and it is a little different than your average neutrals eyeshadow palette.
Lets talk packaging, which is beautiful! A gold compact with pink and purple pattern on the front that is so pretty plus feels sturdy and great quality. Inside there is a mirror making it a great palette to travel with and as I purchased my palette from QVC it also came with a double ended brush to!
The tartelette in bloom palette has three rows of four beautiful shades, three of which are shimmer the rest are matte. The consistency of the eyeshadows are very nice all are extremely pigmented, creamy and easy to blend. The three shimmer shades have more of a metallic finish rather then a glitter sparkle however they are very beautiful and really stand out. There is fall out when you pick up the shadows on your brush which usually I don't mind being so pigmented however I find this has the most out of the other palettes in my collection.
Tarte Tartelette In Bloom Palette Swatches
Left to right - Charmer, Jetsetter, Rocker, Smokeshow
On the top row we have more cool toned taupe shades, Charmer is great for a matte highlight for the brow bone and inner corner or to set your eye shadow primer. Jetsetter is a great cool toned transition shade for the crease and Rocker a metallic silvery taupe for the lid. Smokeshow is more of a very dark cool toned grey rather than a black which I think is a lot more wearable and perfect for smokey eyes.
Left to right - Flower Child, Smarty Pants, Firecracker, Activist
The second row has our neutrals, Flower Child and Smarty Pants both great neutral crease colours or all over lid colour. Firecracker is a beautiful fiery bronze metallic shade which is super pigmented and looks stunning all over lid. Activist more brown toned than smokeshow but just as dark perfect for brown smokey eyes.
Left to Right - Funny Girl, Sweetheart, Rebel, Leader
The bottom row of the Tartelette In Bloom palette is possibly my favourite this row has the the more mauve pink shades. Funny Girl is a very pretty shimmery highlight but also looks very pretty as a pop on the lid for an everyday makeup. Sweetheart is a very pretty neutral pink transition shade and together with Rebel a rich warm reddish brown work really nice together. Finally there is Leader a dark brown with a slight purple undertone making it little warmer and is also very rich in pigment.
The Tartelette In Bloom Palette has the most beautiful mix of shades, you have the more cooler taupe and silvery shades together with the more warm bronze and mauve pinks making an endless amount of looks to create. All of the shades work really well together and I think it is a great palette to use for your every day makeup to your more smokey night time makeup looks.
