February Favourites 2017

February Favourites 2017

Welcome to my February favourites! I hope you have all had a lovely February and are looking forward to heading into spring, today I am sharing all of the beauty products I have been enjoying most this month and don't forget to leave yours in the comment too.

Having dry skin I like my makeup to have more of a dewy finish, so have been using this MAC Strobe Cream to give my skin a radiant glow. I chose the shade Goldlite which of course has a golden glow and have been applying this all over my skin before foundation for a beautiful glowing finish. I love versatile products and this illuminator is just that, you can mix with your foundation, apply it before or just apply to areas you wish to highlight. I am really looking forward to wearing this over the spring and summer for no-makeup days when I want a dewy finish to my skin without wearing makeup.

A foundation which I have been wearing a lot through February is the VICHY Dermablend Foundation, being a corrective foundation this is extremely full coverage therefore if you suffer from acne or pigmentation you wish to cover this foundation is a must. The finish is very natural, it is long wearing plus as the pigmentation is so high you only need the smallest amount for a flawless coverage.

If you are a regular visitor or have watched my tutorials you know I love my falsies, I have been wearing the House Of Lashes Iconics all through this month. The Iconic Lashes are so pretty and flattering, they flare out from short to long in the outer corners, my favourite style. These false lashes are not to heavy, are comfortable to wear and I love that they can be easily worn with simple or more glam makeup looks. I will leave my tutorials I have worn the Iconic Lashes here and here so you can see what they look like on!

I have been getting more into cream contouring lately and the LA Girl Pro Concealer in Beautiful Bronze has been my go to product. The La Girl Pro Concealers are very affordable and Beautiful Bronze is super pigmented plus stays in place all day. This does apply pretty dark however with a damp sponge blends very easily, I do like to do one half of the face at a time to avoid this setting to quick. I have been really enjoying contouring and bronzing up my face with this concealer and as I don't like to wear too many powders it also means I don't have to apply lots of powder products on top.

A product which has taken me some time to get into is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Nude Eye Pencil, I have been loving applying this nude pencil in my lower waterline to cancel out any redness. Wearing this stops my eyes from looking too red and tired, instead looking bright and wide awake.

I have one hair care favourite this month which are these hair ties that do not kink or pull on your hair. I know these are not a new product however thinking they were just a gimmick hair tie I have never paid much attention to them. Having super thick and long hair these have been a hair saviour and are so comfortable to wear, my hair stays putt in them all day plus they never pull or kink my hair either.

What are your February favourites?

  1. I have always wanted to try MAC's Strobe Cream but I'm worried it won't work with my oily skin. Does it feel heavy on the skin or is it a thinner texture?

    1. It is thin as a texture but feels thicker than a moisturiser... sorry I am rubbish at explaining things. On me I feel it does sit on the skin a little rather than all soaking in. If you have oily skin I would say just apply this to areas you want to highlight instead of all over xx
