L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation | First Impressions + Review

L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation Review and Swatches

Product reviews are something I have been really enjoying lately, now I have my YouTube channel I can also show you how I use different beauty products so you can see in person what they look like on too! Today I have a review on a brand new makeup product and one of my favourite to try... of course it is foundation! Today I am sharing my first impressions of the brand new L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation, how I apply it and how it wears after 10 hours wear.

L'Oreal True Match has been my forever favourite drugstore foundation therefore when the Infallible Total Cover was released I was really excited to try it out. I liked the thought of it being "total cover" as I do like my full coverage foundation, never trying a matte foundation either I was a little nervous also as I have dry skin.

The packaging is eye catching and also in a tube meaning you are able to squeeze all of the product out and get your moneys worth! Moving on to formula the Infallible Total Cover is a very thick foundation, though the consistency is thick it almost feels slightly moosey also which I think is what helps this feel more light weight.

I chose the shade Golden Beige as it had more of a yellow undertone, which is hard to find when it comes to L'Oreal foundations. As I applied the foundation to my skin the shade looked slightly pink however blended out to become my perfect shade. I chose to use a damp sponge which blended the foundation out really easily, I was surprised at how light weight this felt on my skin. After the first layer of foundation my skin looked pretty flawless, however there were still imperfections showing through which I was a little disappointed by as I thought the coverage would be a little fuller.

After applying a little more to areas which I needed extra coverage I was very happy with the finish, having dry skin I could not build this foundation up more than I have however if you are more oily you could build this up a lot more. The finish of the foundation is matte however looks very natural with a comfortable feel, my skin looked pretty flawless. My freckles were still showing through which I personally did not mind however I would not class this foundation as full full coverage.

I wore the L'Oreal Inafllible Foundation for the rest of the day, a whole 10 hours in fact and I loved it (in my tutorial below). This did not move or clog up in any places, felt comfortable and the coverage stayed putt too! One thing I did notice is the centre of my face had become oily towards the end of the day, something I don't usually notice. I did not mind too much as I would prefer to look more dewy rather than it dry up during the day, however I will have to powder next time which is one thing I would be weary of if you are more oily.

Overall I really liked the L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation and am looking forward to carrying on wearing it. The formula was high coverage and very comfortable to wear, I liked the matt finish as I found it very natural and this sat lovely on my skin, not settling in any pores or lines. The foundation did not stay matte which is my only downside however I can play around with primers to see if that makes any difference. I will be using this a lot especially in my tutorials so I will keep you updated on how I am getting along with it to.

Have you tried the new L'Oreal Infallible Total Cover Foundation?
