Keeping up with sharing my monthly beauty favourites was a goal of mine this year, unfortunately I missed last months favourites ONLY due too the fact there were no products I was enjoying enough to include in a monthly favourites. This month I am well prepared and have gathered a mix of hair care, skincare and makeup products which I have been using and enjoying most throughout April. I love that for once there is a nice mix of beauty and makeup plus not all products are new, some of my makeup favourites through April are re-discoveries which I have had for some time.
Schwarzkopf Blonde Me Keratin Restore Shampoo - I recently received this shampoo in a Glossybox, I was very excited to try this out as I was having more blonde put into my hair for spring/summer. I have been having a balayage style in my hair for some time however I found the bleach was fading quickly, maybe as I wasn't using a shampoo particularly for coloured hair! Since having my blonde a couple of months ago I started using this shampoo and love it, this has definitely kept my blonde fresh and bright plus my hair doesn't feel dry due to the bleach. I will continue to use this shampoo in my hair routine, I really feel it is helping with the upkeep of my coloured hair keeping it vibrant and light.
Garnier Micellar Water - I know you are all probably thinking this is a boring beauty favourite however I have been using the micellar water in a different way which is why this has made my beauty favourites this month. I like to remove the majority of my makeup before cleansing and washing my face at night, which I have been very naughtily using face wipes! Lately my skin has not been to great, I think using face wipes were drying out my skin making it sensitive plus a little irritated which is when I decided to switch to micellar water instead. Usually my micellar water is only used when I want to clean up a mistake to make a quick fix however it is so gentle and easily removes all types of makeup. Since switching to micellar water to remove my makeup my skin is no where near as dry nor irritated, instead feels smooth and much more hydrated.
VICHY IDEALIA Peeling - I received this next product recently and was not too sure what it was, saying this works to improve the radiance of your skin, smooth out fine lines and even your complexion I have been including this in my night skincare routine and have noticed a great improvement in my skin. After cleansing you drop a few drops of the Idealia Peeling onto a cotton pad and wipe all over your face before the rest of your skincare. Not only does this smell incredible it leaves my skin so lovely and soft. The texture of my skin has improved plus the overall look is definitely brighter and healthier looking so I am really grateful I was sent this to try.
Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub - We all need that favourite body exfoliator and this shower scrub has been helping me in more ways than one having eczema and dry skin plus also wanting to fake tan too. Having dry skin and eczema I have to exfoliate A LOT and as this is more on the rough side it buffs all the dead skin away without feeling scratchy and dry, as you wash the scrub off it also leaves hydrating film which I love, my skin feels so soft and smooth even though technically I have been scrubbing away at it for the past few minutes. This lush exfoliator is great for us tanning girls, it can be hard to remove fake tan when you want to re-apply however this exfoliator buffs away my old tan very easily.
NYX Micro Brow Pencil - I am a huge fan of my ABH Brow Wiz though using it everyday for my brows can become quite expensive, I have been on the hunt for a similar brow pencil which I could use everyday which was cheaper. I really like the Nyx Micro Brow Pencil, although it may not be as creamy as my brow wiz I can achieve the same brow result which will not budge all day. I now save my ABH for special occasions, this is my new everyday brow pencil and I love it plus it is saving me a little money too.
Urban Decay Ultra Definition Loose Finishing Powder - This product has made my beauty favourites a number of times, I recently discovered this again in my collection and have been using it constantly. This setting powder is so finely milled as you buff this over your foundation to set you are left with a natural flawless look to the skin. It doesn't cake up or look powdery on the skin, as it is pigmented also it adds that little extra coverage leaving a beautiful airbrushed effect.
Clinique Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector - Another makeup product I have raved about for years is the Natural Lip Perfector by Clarins, this is the perfect everyday lip product for school or work and is my go-to through spring and summer. Being a comfortable gloss with a pop of colour which is also moisturising on your lips makes it a handbag must have, I never travel without mine.
